First opportunity to hunt the planet Mars this season. Although still far from its maximum approach (opposition on July 27), the planet is now 220 million kilometers away, it is posible to see already see shapes and details. The feature in the form of pipe is Sinus Meridiani and to its left, an almost precise detail named Oxia Palus that, with the triangular area of Sinus Margaritifer, seems to delimit the two big "seas" Acidalium (above) and Erythraeum (below). The phase of the planet is now 89.5%. The only merit of the image is that it has been taken with Mars only at 13° Alt.
